Italy Chronicles pt. 2
Heyooo!
It’s still me, still in Italy, just now sporting a glowy tan. Last week I took the time to hang out with some of the friends I left behind in my hometown or scattered in the nearby cities. I had a blast reminiscing and bringing back all the old gossip (and getting updated on some new gossip too!), and as usual I had to explain once again what is it that I do for work.
Now, it’s not really rocket science. I have a BBA, and I’m boring. But when you bring up work, your job search or - god forbid - wages with someone who isn’t in Finland, the situation always turns a bit embarrassing.
I always end up double guessing my choices. Maybe if I went to uni in Italy I would already have a masters. Maybe if I tried to relocate I would be happier. Maybe if I applied for a job in Italy I could take a pay cut but have a better quality of life. Maybe maybe maybe.
What I know for sure is that I made the choices I made, I’m used to a certain lifestyle and I love the life I built for myself. The grass is always greener is a platitude I don’t love to use, I just know that what we see is just the tip of the iceberg of the sort of life others’ have. I’m thankful for the opportunities I have and I’ll always strive for more regardless, and I hope you will too!

💡Always keep in mind…
Comparison is the thief of joy
Have you ever caught yourself scrolling on your phone, only to feel terrible as you see friends' vacation photos, career milestones, or picture-perfect lives? It's a familiar feeling for many of us, and it's a testament to the power of comparison. But while it's natural to compare ourselves to others, it can also be a thief of joy, robbing us of our own happiness and contentment.
It's important to distinguish between healthy inspiration and harmful comparison. It's perfectly okay to look up to others and learn from their experiences. Let their achievements inspire you to pursue your own goals, rather than making you feel inadequate. Use their success as a motivator to push yourself further, while staying true to your own values and aspirations.
🍃Have you…
🎶 Listen: Rosso Relativo by Tiziano Ferro You must be sick of all the podcasts by now. Yesterday I went to sing karaoke with my BFF, so here’s my Italian go-to song. Tiziano Ferro is super well known also in Spanish-speaking countries, I think some of you might know the Spanish version of his songs. Anyway, give it a listen! It’s a HIT 😜 Also I’m in dire need of podcast recommendations, so DM me yours! |

⌛Our Progress Update
Talking about comparison, it's ok to ask for help!
In fact, it can lead to amazing opportunities :)
Our mission to create equal pay opportunities for women and revolutionize recruitment is as strong as ever, but we started staying behind! So we realized we needed HELP in our development efforts to truly make the impact we envisioned ASAP 😦
Without looking (did we manifest it) several consultants reached out via LinkedIn and from our investors network to help. Each with their own strengths.
Enter Erbis.
From our very first conversation, it was clear that Erbis was different. They saw our potential (we believe them 😁) and shared our passion for creating positive change. Their team took the time to truly understand our mission, asking insightful questions and offering ideas that showed they were thinking about our future, not just the immediate project.
Today, we're thrilled to announce that Erbis is officially joining forces with Hei Dingo as our strategic technology partner! 🎉
We want to keep you, our valued community, involved. We'd love to hear from you:
What aspects of this partnership intrigue you the most?
What feature do you think will be the best?

Onwards and upwards,
The Hei Dingo Team
