The one about impatience

7th of October ‘24

It’s now or never

Hello hello!

Did you miss me last week? The lovely Stella did a stellar (get it?) job, and I got some free time for once. But alas, the yapping must continue 😌

A lot of adult life I realized, revolves around waiting. You order something and you wait for it to arrive, you wait for the perfect person to marry or have kids with, and you wait for jobs you applied to to get back to you.

I’m terrible at waiting, I want everything right away. Especially for jobs, not hearing back in a reasonable timeframe is the bane of my existence. Sometimes I’m so excited about a role, or I write a seriously funny or engaging cover letter that not getting contacted within a week will put me in a terrible mood.

I think I need to find tools to exercise patience, other than putting trust in myself (& the universe) that everything will fall into place eventually. How do you stay excited for long without external validation? Am I just a big baby?

Let me know!

💡Always keep in mind…

Patience, grasshopper

Oftentimes, when we feel impatient, it’s because we feel like we did all we could and the ball is no longer in our court. My tip is: focus on what you can do. Impatience often arises when we focus on things we can't control. Shift your energy to aspects of a situation that you can influence, and let go of the rest.

🍃Have you…

📚 Read: Cheese in the Trap by Soonkki

I don’t think I’ve ever recommended comics before, so it’s time to start. Cheese in the Trap is one of my favorite webtoons. After returning to college from a long break, model student Seol finds herself caught up with Jung, a senior who's also known as Mr. Perfect. Seol feels like her life took a turn for the worse since Jung came into her life... but is he intentionally turning her life upside down?

If this is your first Webtoon, you’re going to want to binge it. It’s a story with well-written characters, romance, mystery, and unconventional art style.
